Pomegranate Necklace, Ark Ring, Two of Wands Ring.
Often a family’s journey is continued and passed down generation to generation, like pieces of jewellery. The common threads of my family history have been of strong women, displacement from the home and constant travel. The works I have made act as talismans to be worn in the present day. The placement of all pieces when worn on the body tell an unfolding story: Two rings to be worn on the fourth finger of each hand create harmony, the superior vena cava nerve in the fingers run from either side and connects to the heart centre where the necklace is to be worn. Each piece holds symbolisms influenced by the maternal, such as my Armenian heritage and the Rider-Waite tarot deck, which over time have been woven into my personal mythologies.
Pomegranate Necklace.
Gold plated. Pomegranate pendant hand carved in wax and cast in brass. Handmade sterling silver chain, each jump ring soldered in place. Garnet adornments.
Fruit imageries have become personally important to exploring my cultural background. Pomegranates symbolise fertility and protection. Inspired by the High Priestess Tarot.

Ark Ring.
Hand carved in wax and cast in brass.
In the tarot card, Three of Wands, an emperor sees off his ships. Both sides of my family came to Australia by sea. The Ark ring represents the physical travelling of this journey. Some people believe that Noah’s Ark rests on the peak of Mount Ararat in Armenia.

Two of Wands Ring.
Hand carved in wax and cast in brass. Bloodstone.
The two of wands ring is inspired by the tarot card by the same name: A man holds the world in one hand and a wand in the other, looking out to sea for the journey ahead. Wands stand for many things including determination, passion and spirituality. The sphere of bloodstone, which is found in Armenia, represents Earth held up by brass prongs that represent the wands.
